About Mediterra

Mediterra Ltd supplies organic growing media — water-retaining peat, root-zone substrates and fertiliser — to nurseries and farms across Malta and the EU.

Our focus is water retention. Malta’s growing season is warm and irrigation is expensive, so the substrate a nursery chooses has a direct effect on water use, root development and yield consistency. We formulate and supply organic peat blends designed to hold moisture in the root zone through repeated wetting and drying cycles, without waterlogging.

We work with commercial growers who need reliable volume, consistent quality between batches, and full traceability — including documentation to support EU organic certification requirements where applicable.

Mediterra is based in Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Malta, and supplies both locally and across the EU.
